Bluetooth marketing campaign tackles binge drinkers on the streets of Liverpool
Bloowire developed an alcohol units calculator application which runs on the majority of mobile phones and was delivered via Bloowire Bluetooth transmitters to revellers in and outside bars in Liverpool City Centre on Saturday the 31st of January 2009.
The Bluetooth marketing campaign was a resounding success and the free Bluetooth application was downloaded by over 700 people in one night. The application is based on the NHS Alcohol Units calculator and allows the user to select from a range of wines, beers and spirits and calculate the units. It then gives advice on the recommended number of daily units for men and women.
